The piece was inspired by "Novemberland", which is a collection of poems by Günter Grass. The piece explored the history and destruction of Strasbourg  during the second World War and the vanity of the German Empire, which led to its own destruction. The piece tried to create a bond between the consequences and casualties of wars back then and the society of terrorism we live in today.
