MINI BIOGRAPHY

Born in Greece in 1989. Studied Architecture at University of Thessaly in Volos and graduated in 2014. Started theatre in 2011 and participated in performances with theatre and independent directors. Completed internship and gained professional experience in technical office for some years. Also involved in set design for a few performances. 

Moved to London in 2015. Completed Master of Arts in Performance Design and Practice, at Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts). Got engaged with performance making in London. Also participated in performances around Europe (Strasbourg and Ancona, Italy). Particularly interested in exploring the fundamentals of set design and directing. Also interested in acting (movies, immersive theatre, pantomime and stand-up comedy). An architecture lover. An upcoming photographer exploring the world around.

  • May 2015: "Love is not about years", directed by Dimitris Pantazis, based on the novels by  Kehaidis Dimitris, Haviara Eleni, M.D. Giannoukakis, Andreas Nikolaras and N. I. Laskaris, performed by the students of Experimental Theatre of Nea Ionia In Volos, Greece, at Cultural Center of Nea Ionia, Volos.

  • May 2014: "The dining room", directed by Dimitris Pantazis, based on the novel by Albert Ramsdel Gurney, performed by the students of Experimental Theatre of Nea Ionia In Volos, Greece, at Cultural Center of Nea Ionia, Volos.

  • May 2013: "Oh! Love!", directed by Dimitris Pantazis, basez on the novels by Federico Garcia Lorca (Blood Wedding, Yerma, The Shoemaker's Prodigious Wife, The Love of Don Perlimplín and Belisa in the Garden), performed by the students of Experimental Theatre of Nea Ionia In Volos, Greece, at the Orphanage in Agria, Volos.

  • May 2012/May 2013: "Student girls looking for a job", directed by Yannis Farmakides, based on the play by Yannis Farmakides. The performance explores the relationship between two girls, who try to discover themselves by deciding to work as prostitutes and be lesbians in order to make money, and in the end they fall in love with each other. The performance was held for two years, at Axilleion Theater hall and at University of Thessaly in Volos, Greece.

  • May 2012: "Everything upside down", directed by Dimitris Pantazis, based on the novel by Mariza Kelesidou, performed by the students of Experimental Theatre of Nea Ionia In Volos, Greece, at Axilleion Theater hall in Volos.

Performances 

  • March 2017: "Under the Counter", taking inspiration from the transformative counterculture era, students from Performance Design and Practice course from University of the Arts and the Drama Centre London offer an international perspective in shifting cultural norms through a mix of live experiences and presentations that feature installation, theatre, music and much more, at Royal Albert Hall.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

  • January 2017: “Ariadne”, a performance mix of installation and movement, that took place in Central Saint Martins college, as part of “Work in Progress” exhibition for MA students. The performance was based on the myth of Ariadne, who, in Greek Mythology, was associated with mazes and labyrinths and helped Theseus overcome the Minotaur and find the way out of the Labyrinth.                         

  • December 2016: “Bal Du Rat Mort”, screened at the RA James Ensor Lates as part of a performance devised by Noemi Gunea and Grace Lambert. Director: Grace Lambert, Producer: Noemi Gunea, DOP: Jackson Ducasse, Editors: Grace Lambert and Jackson Ducasse, Composer: Luigi Cappello, Sound Designer: Erik Lintunen, Performers: Sarah Lovegrove, Martina Conti, Katie Berns, Grace Strickland de Souza, Jordan Chandler, Una Burnand, Stylist and MUA: Chensy Guan.                                                                                                                                                                              

  • April 2016: "A la derive", a performance piece originally created by the students of the MA PDP course of Central Saint Martins college in London (University of the Arts), in collaboration with HEAR (Haute École des Arts du Rhin), during a residency at the Palais des Fêtes. A collage of installation, movement, sound design and performance aiming to explore different forms of miscommunication. The starting point and inspiration for this piece was the collection of poems 'Novemberland' by Günter Grass. 

  • March 2016: "Les Hommes Poubelles" (The Garbage Men), a performance piece by Eddy Ekete, Diwele Molale Lubi, and students of the MA PDP course of Central Saint Martins college in London (University of the Arts), in collaboration with HEAR (Haute École des Arts du Rhin). The performance piece took place in Strasbourg, with the students dressed as garbage, walking around the city.

  • February 2016: "Incident", a site specific performance, initiated and curated by Geraldine Pilgrim, during a residency at Villa Nappi in Polverigi, Italy. The performance explored the stages of a dream a girl was having, in which someone could experience glimpses of dreamscapes mixed with reality, until the girl was awake again.

  • February 2016: "Dream", a site-specific performance initiated and curated by Geraldine Pilgrim in Ancona, Italy. The performance explored the way an environment could transfer into dreamscapes.                                                                                                                            

  • February 2013: Performance within the "Azucar" Festival of Arts and Music, with the students from the Experimental Stage of Nea Ionia, which was directed by Dimitris Pantazis and took place in the city of Volos, at “See you” venue.

Work

Main activities and responsibilities:

  • Graphic Designer, processing two-dimensional architectural projects and design of three-dimensional digital models for publication on the official website of the company.

  • Use of designing programmes (Autocad) and creation of three-dimensional models (using SketchUp and 3Ds Max)

  • Visit to the locations and mapping of the data

Seminars

  • Seminar for the protection of traditional communities and modern architectural design, which was held on March 9, 2013, in the Auditorium of the Technical Chamber of Magnesia, on 2nd Noemvriou and Xenophontos, in Volos.

Research topics

  • Research and for the traditional village of Skopelos and the traditional house of Skopelos, under the supervision of Dimitrios Filippitzis, professor in the Department of Architecture-University of Thessaly The book contains the following subjects: Geography of North Sporades- Skopelos, geology, prehistory and history of the island, architectural currents that influenced urban elements, architectural elements in detail (images-examples), and cultural heritage of Skopelos.

  • Participation in a photo exhibition for architecture students in Volos, under the supervision of Giorgis Gerolympos for the course “Photography” of Architecture University of Thessaly, which was held on 3-30 November 2010, at Warehouse B in the Customs Office in Volos.

  • Participation in the contest «Imagine the City-Volos 2012» - the presentation of the project, which was held on March 24, 2012, in the Tobacco Warehouse, Anthimou Gazi-Ogl (1st floor), in Volos.
